hmua -- check!

mood:

i've finally decided on my hmua.

had my trial with barbi chan today, and i think this is it! you can find pics of my trial here.

i sooo loved my hair and makeup! i truly feel like a virginal bride! hahaha! and i love barbi! she's so pretty and funny. i felt so comfortable with her, and that's a big plus. what i love about her is that she asks what i want, and what my preference of color is. i chose earth/gold tones for my eye makeup and i love it! AND my face stayed the same. i looked like me! hee!

i'm going for the airbrush makeup. i figure if i'm going to spend so much on my hmua anyway, then i'll just go all the way. i'll have to call the salon tomorrow to confirm my booking.

schmuck and i went to QP yesterday for the proofing of our invites. there were just a few errors, and when we gave them the corrections, they made the necessary changes in 30 minutes.

after that, everything was done and we're set to pick up our invitations on the 22nd.

after getting the sample missalette from st. james last monday, i've already prepared our version. thanks to karen for the sample she sent me, because i used her template. karen, you are heaven sent!!!

schmuck daw will take care of reproducing. he only needs to work overtime one day in the office, and he can use the photocopying machine there. hahahaha!

once we have the missalette approved by st. james, my dear friend dale has volunteered to help me design it. we're thinking of using shimmery board paper for the cover, in a nice shade of champagne. then we'll have like a silver or gold string that goes in the middle to cover the staple wire, and at the end of the string, we'll put swarovski crytals or something. pretty!!! dale is such an imaginative and creative person, and i can't wait to see how our missalette will turn out.

our wedding banns are already with our respective parishes. after 3 weeks, we can already get them and submit them to st. james.

i actually asked my mom to submit mine in our parish, and i was surprised when they asked pa for our 2x2 ID pictures. huh?! you mean when they post the banns, they'll attach our pictures??? oh no!!! what if my previous suitors from the village see it? NGYAHAHAHA!

to be on the safe side, i had my picture taken at this studio near our office. they have photoshop and can actually take out eyebags, raccoon eyes and pimples. i asked if they can make my nose more matangos, but the guy referred me to some doctor instead. hehehe! in fairness, i looked flawless in my picture. so now i'm hoping they do post the picture with our banns. BWARHARHAR!

why The Schmucks?

- We've decided to revolutionize the term. It's now a term of endearment. Before Roland & Tin became "Roland & Tin," we were very good friends with a dysfunctional sense of humor. I called him a schmuck, he called me a schmuck. Thus, The Schmucks were born. Now we're on our way to becoming Mr. & Mrs. Schmuck. Ain't life grand? -
